Week 1 3rd - 9th February 2014
Hello class!
This week we have learnt and practised the alphabet and its sounds in English, numbers up to 100 and played bingo to correct pronunciation mistakes and as a listening exercise. We have also learnt and practised how to build affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences using the verb "to be" an other main verbs in the present tense, as well as the adverbs of frequency and their usage within sentences. Alongside with the present tense, the present continuous tense has been introduced, and its usage compared with the usage of the present tense. The use of the gerund form at the beginning of a sentence was also explained.
We have studied as well some vocabulary on the farm (verbs, nouns and adjectives) and used it in the classroom in contex through stories. For the next lesson learners are going to write a short writing using the vocabulary and structures studied.
These are some links useful to revise.
